Breaking Down Barriers To Success
Submited by : Empowerment (Nadine)

NadineAre you one of those millions of people who has given up on trying anything new because nothing ever seems to go the way you want it to? You are not alone.

Many of us believe that just because things did not work for us in the past, it won’t work again, and we tend to just give up and stop pursuing our life long goals. What direction do you want your life to go in? Is it money you want, fame, fortune, happy healthy relationships, travel, freedom. It is possible for you to have all that you want and MORE. What is stopping you from achieving these things? Your past does not equal your future. You do not have to live inside of a box that has become your comfort zone. You do have the power within you to step outside your comfort zone and access the  same dreams and turn them into reality the way that many other  people have. Who are the people you aspire to be like? Who are your mentors? Is it Bill Gates, Michael Jordan? Is it luck or skill that makes these individuals successful, no, the key characteristics that these individuals possess are drive , determination and a positive attitude.

A recent study of Harvard University Graduates revealed that students completing their Harvard education usually fell into 3 categories which would determine their success in life.
These categories were based on acquired knowledge, skills, and  a positive attitude.

NadineThe successful graduates who went on after Harvard and became highly successful were people who had come from backgrounds with plenty of adversity. They had  learned how to overcome their personal barriers, isolation, dealing with racism, and poverty. They did not allow their negative beliefs to get in the way of their dreams.  It was their attitude that helped them to prosper and go on to do well in their lives. This is what set them apart from other Harvard Grads who were not as successful after graduation.

Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it. It is all in our ATTITUDE.

A perfect example of this is the founder of KFC Restaurants, Colonel Sanders. Colonel Sanders was 65 years old and receiving a very modest social security check before he became famous with his chicken recipe. He was living out of his car and traveling all over the US. How many times was Colonel Sanders rejected for his chicken recipe, a total of 1009 times. He NEVER gave up. He remained persistent and believed that he would achieve success, and eventually he did.

Another famous inventor and creator is Walt Disney Walt Disney was refused  for financing to build his Walt Disney theme park 302 times.

We limit our own opportunities by the thoughts we create. Our thoughts become our reality. The definition of insanity is doing things the way we have always done them and expecting different results.

“I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward”.     Thomas Edison
