Thank you firstly for your brave posting and secondly well done on seeking some support.

I would say be kind to yourself, if you reprimand yourself for not being able to get past your husband's affair how will you feel then? I'm guessing even worse?! It's so very human to find it hard to get past what must feel like a betrayal for you.

Consider asking yourself, why you find it difficult to forgive him and get past this - what thought is it that stops you from moving on. Give yourself space and time to find the answers and consider doing something that will naturally invoke a feeling of relaxation ( be it a walk, meditation, listenting to music or other) because it is in a state of relaxation that clarity appears and you can find your answers.

Once you are more clear as to what his affair represents for you in terms of your thoughts - you can challenge these and go deeper to understand how you can turn these around so that they work for you.

Trust that everything happens for a reason, your not able to move past this - for a reason - perhaps it's a nudge to discover what it is that your really want moving forward.
